Local Vancouver movers, packers and more

Local Moving
Moving across Canada might seem simple, it’s just a local move, right? But if you've ever tried to maneuver a truck through the West End on a rainy Tuesday, you know better. Between tight parking, unpredictable weather, and those elevator booking rules in condo buildings, there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes.
The good news? Local movers who actually live and work in the city get it. They know which back lanes are wider, which streets are nightmare one-ways, and how to work around loading zone time limits without getting ticketed. That kind of local street smarts saves you time, money, and a whole lot of stress.

Piano Moves
Piano moving in Vancouver takes more than muscle. It’s a mix of skill, planning, and respect for the instrument. From upright pianos in heritage homes to baby grands on the top floor of a Kitsilano walk-up, we’ve handled them all with care. No bumps, no drama, just smooth moves by people who know what they’re doing.
The city adds its own challenges. Narrow staircases, tight corners, and rainy weather aren’t unusual here. That’s why we bring the right gear, use proper padding and dollies, and take our time where it counts. A piano isn't just another item to move, it’s something personal. And we treat it that way.

Comercial Moving
Commercial moves in Vancouver come with their own kind of chaos: tight timelines, fragile equipment, and the pressure to keep downtime to a minimum. We get it. Whether it’s a small office relocation in Mount Pleasant or a full scale move from a downtown tower, we know how to keep things organized, efficient, and on schedule.
We coordinate with building managers, handle parking permits, and label everything so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Need to move after hours? No problem. Sensitive gear? We’ve got the padding, dollies, and steady hands for that too. When you’re running a business, the last thing you want is a move that slows you down. That’s where we come in, quietly keeping everything moving forward, while you focus on what matters.

Packing Service
Packing isn’t just about putting things in boxes. It’s about protecting what matters and making your move a whole lot less stressful. Our professional packing services take the guesswork (and the backache) out of moving day. Whether you're short on time, worried about fragile items, or just want it done right, we’ve got you covered.
We bring all the materials, from sturdy boxes to bubble wrap and tape, and pack everything with care, right down to the last teacup. Want us to pack the whole place? Easy. Just the kitchen or a few delicate items? That works too. No judgment, no pressure, just experienced hands making sure your belongings are safe and secure, ready for the road ahead.

Storage
Our excellent storage partners have locations throughout the Lower Mainland.

The Best Canadian Moving Company: Our Story
We got our start in Vancouver’s West End: mover heaven. At the beginning, we were just two guys and a truck doing small moves around the neighbourhood. Things picked up quickly. We opened our first storage warehouse in Gastown when rent was still affordable, but the condo boom soon pushed us out. That’s when we moved into an old storefront on West Broadway, selling packing supplies while we figured out our next step.
Our most memorable location was the old firehall on West Cordova in East Van. We turned the wagon sheds into truck-painting booths, and used the hayloft for storage. Those were great years. Eventually, the wrecking ball of progress caught up to us again, and we bought our first warehouse just off Commercial Drive. These days, we’ve left the physical locations behind. Mini-storage, packing supplies, and paperwork are now handled by expert partners online while we stick to moving. One thing hasn’t changed though; our heart is still in Vancouver.

Meet Our Canadian Movers

I have tried a lot of other jobs around Mission but none of them gave me the freedom of working for myself out in the field as long-distance moving does. Being out on the open road away from all bosses and hassles is very peaceful and satisfying. Every day brings new things and nothing is finer than watching the sunrise from behind the wheel. Truckers and long-distance movers are actually the last of the cowboys, and I'm proud to be a part of that. Let's just say I'm living the dream.

Moving appeals to my innate sense of order. I like to organize things and packing a truck is actually satisfying as you watch the rooms of the house empty out. It always amazes the clients that their whole life can be compressed into a giant rectangle, and it's a great feeling to know that you are helping them start a new chapter in their lives. Anyone can say they are a mover and it is true anyone can pick up a box, but real movers pride themselves on moving difficult objects. Hot tubs, pool tables, pianos, and safes are where a mover displays his experience most.

My favorite type of customer is someone that is up for a laugh. Having someone to joke with throughout the day makes a tough job go by so much quicker. In the best case scenario, the customer will be too busy laughing to worry about their stress on move day. Even when it is For McMurray levels of cold, nothing passes the time faster than humor. The next thing you know, the job is done, and everyone is in a better mood. So, if you're looking for a great customer experience, look for someone who is up for a laugh, and you won't be disappointed.

Moving around Airdrie appeals to my innate sense of order. I like to organize our moves in a way that is efficient and effective. I like to plan out our route and make sure that we are taking the most direct route to our destination. I love it when when I see the truck being loaded in a neat and orderly fashion. I also like to make sure that all of our belongings are properly secured and that nothing is left behind. The passion I have for organization and efficiency makes moving around Airdrie an experience that you will truly enjoy.

I started off my career as a swamper learning the ropes from another Owner Operator in Cochrane - I learned the importance of good wrapping techniques to avoid damages, the correct ways to carry things so that no one gets hurt, maneuvering tips, etc. Now with 5 years of moving under my belt and my own crew I am an Owner Operator myself. When the customer is satisfied, I feel good at the end of the day too.

My moving company has always been a family operation. My cousin Ivan has learned the business from me after working together for several years with the Cochrane team. Now he has his own truck as a full partner with Owner Operator Movers Calgary. Moving has given us the opportunity to earn a living and it is a bonus that we meet and help great people every day. We are proud to be part of the Calgary community, providing a service that helps people move their belongings safely and efficiently.

What’s my favorite part of being an Owner Operator? I don’t have to answer to anyone but the customer. This makes it so much easier to just focus on moving. At the end of the day, I have no one to report to. I started with OO Movers years ago as a helper to Brent. He taught me all the tricks he learned in over 25 years of moving around Fort Saskatchewan. Brent has retired and I bought his truck so I am my own boss and could not be happier.
