We started out in Vancouver’s West End, just two guys, one truck, and a whole lot of hustle. Back then, we were doing walk-ups in the rain, navigating alleys off Davie Street, and learning the trade the hard way. Our first real break came when we opened a tiny warehouse in Gastown. Rent was cheap, space was tight, and the moving trucks barely fit in the alley, but it worked, until the condo boom priced us out.
We bounced around a bit after that. An old storefront on West Broadway became our packing supply shop. Later, we converted an East Van firehall into a full operation, turning the hayloft into storage and spray-painting trucks in the wagon sheds. Those were scrappy, golden years.
But even in the early days, we weren’t just a Vancouver outfit. Coquitlam came calling fast. Families in Burke Mountain needed full-house moves. Seniors in Maillardville trusted us with delicate downsizing. And condo towers were popping up around Coquitlam Centre, each one with its own elevator rules and loading bay politics. We got to know them all.
